HOW TO
HAVE FUN
HOW TO
HAVE FUN
Originating from the question of how to shorten or make waiting times and stays in supermarkets more engaging, the project experiments with new media to offer a solution. MUNCH is a way to bring
generations together with good food. Early education is the key of reaching that target. And which supermarket would not be proud to perceived as a little more fun.

In the first concept phase placement was the main idea orientation. Since a waiting time is mostly given at the queue in a supermarket at the loading belt the original idea surrounded that space. Quickly it was noticed that distraction potential is too high and that the focus should lie more on the original statement of "enjoying waiting". And who is better to do that than kids. Finding entertainment in the smallest things.

Now to the question of how to keep this promise in an environment which is aquite anonymous experience, grocery shopping. Our solution. Make fun of yourself and let others be part of that. Face filters which interact with you and an interface which guides you, the MUNCH stand.
HOW TO MAKE FUN

AND HERE
IS FUN
As part of this project the stand was actually built and tested. With the help of barcode scanners the stand could identify different types of groceries and match a face filter to it.
We tested the prototype in an Edeka which ended up being a full success. There was aset of about 7 different characters and other branded materials.
